Artur    M    Columbus Crew
Artur had surgery on his wrist Monday, after suffering the injury during Saturday's match.

Fantasy Analysis

Artur is expected to miss three matches following the surgery. His presence will be missed, and he will likely be replaced by Mohammed Abu in the starting lineup.
Clint Irwin    G    Toronto FC
Irwin (hamstring) was back in training Monday, according to John Molinaro of Sportsnet.

Fantasy Analysis

Irwin suffered the injury against Sporting KC March 31, and despite him being back in training will likely not be back for Friday's match against Houston. Even when he comes back it is possible that he remains on the bench, and Alex Bono keeps the starting spot.
Nick DeLeon    M/D    D.C. United
DeLeon (thigh) is not starting for DC United against New England on Saturday.

Fantasy Analysis

DeLeon tried to recover, but he's been left out of the squad.
John Mensah    D    Columbus Crew
Mensah (hamstring) returned to training this week and could be back in the lineup against the Red Bulls on Saturday, the Columbus Dispatch reports.

Fantasy Analysis

With Mensah back, the Crew have a few options to use along the back as Alex Crognale has played well in the early going. Either way, a trip to New York won't be easy for this defense and should be avoided.
Patrick Mullins    F    D.C. United
Mullins (hamstring) returned to training this week and could be ready for Saturday's match against New England, the Washington Post reports.

Fantasy Analysis

After starting the first few matches of the season, Mullins has missed the last three with Jose Guillermo Ortiz taking his spot. If healthy, both forwards will fight for time going forward.
Patrick Nyarko    F/M    D.C. United
Nyarko (hamstring) is questionable for Saturday's match against New England, the Washington Post reports.

Fantasy Analysis

Nyarko missed the last match and probably won't be ready for a full 90 just yet. No one will specifically benefit in a tough match, but with Nick DeLeon also a question, someone new could find time in the D.C. midfield.
Steve Birnbaum    D    D.C. United
Birnbaum will miss Saturday's match at New England due to a concussion, the Washington Post reports.

Fantasy Analysis

Birnbaum has started every match for D.C. this season, so this will mix things up in a difficult situation. Kofi Opare or Sean Franklin will likely draw the start, although neither will hold much fantasy value against the Revs.
Khiry Shelton    F    New York City FC
Shelton has been ruled out for four-to-six weeks because of a hamstring injury suffered last Friday at Philadelphia, ESPN FC reports.

Fantasy Analysis

Shelton's absence definitely hurts NYC's attacking depth, though without a regular spot in the starting lineup, he wasn't a great fantasy contributor.
Ronald Matarrita    D    New York City FC
Matarrita has been ruled out for four-to-six weeks because of a high ankle injury suffered in training, the club announced Thursday.

Fantasy Analysis

Matarrita's absence will be a major blow to NYC FC, who could use Rodney Wallace at left-back in the former's place.
Clément Diop    G    Los Angeles Galaxy
Diop is doubtful for Sunday's match against the Galaxy because of a hip injury, the team's official website reports.

Fantasy Analysis

Diop suffered the injury during last weekend's match against Orlando City, though he was able to finish the match. If he is unable to play this Sunday, Brian Rowe could get the start.
Jacob Peterson    F    Atlanta United
Peterson is expected to be sidelined for at least one more week because of a muscular injury, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.

Fantasy Analysis

Peterson has missed the last two games because of the injury, though his fantasy impact is rather minimal even when fit because he doesn't have a regular starting spot.
Josef Martinez    F    Atlanta United
Martinez remains sidelined because of the hip injury suffered over the March international break, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.

Fantasy Analysis

Martinez's timetable of four-to-six weeks for a return optimistically had him back for next week's match against D.C. United, but given that he hasn't even begun light training yet, it's unclear when he'll be able to get back on the pitch. Hector Villalba and Kenwyne Jones will continue to compete for playing time up front.
Ashtone Morgan    D    Toronto FC
Morgan (foot) participated in training Wednesday, according to Eric Giacometti of Toronto FC.

Fantasy Analysis

Morgan is coming off his second foot surgery, since playing his last match August 24. He will likely not be quite ready to play Friday due to his match fitness.
Kaka    M    Orlando City SC
Kaka (hamstring) participated in training Wednesday, and could be back Sunday against NYCFC, according to Alicia DelGallo of the Orlando Sentinel.

Fantasy Analysis

Kaka has missed almost the entire season, playing only 11 minutes in the first match, with the injury. He will still need to participate in training Friday and Saturday, in order to return Sunday. If he is able to return he will likely be coming off the bench due to not being match fit yet.
Tim Howard    G    Colorado Rapids
Howard was suspended three games by Major League Soccer on Friday for using foul language toward a fan during last weekend's loss to Sporting KC, MLSsoccer.com reports.

Fantasy Analysis

Zac MacMath is expected to start in place of Howard, who will be eligible to return May 5 against Vancouver.
Brad Evans    M/D    Seattle Sounders FC
Evans could return from his calf injury in one-to-two weeks, the Seattle Times reports.

Fantasy Analysis

Evans' continued absence has been especially tough of late, as Gustav Svensson has had to play along the back line at both right-back and center-back with Roman Torres the most recent absence.
Roman Torres    D    Seattle Sounders FC
Torres (hamstring) has been ruled out for Saturday's match against Vancouver, the Seattle Times reports.

Fantasy Analysis

Torres suffered the injury last weekend, and his absence, which could extend for next weekend's match against the Galaxy, is expected to force Gustav Svensson to start at center-back again.
Drew Moor    D    Toronto FC
Moor has been ruled out for Saturday's match against the Crew because of an irregular heartbeat, according to Kurtis Larson of the Toronto Sun.

Fantasy Analysis

Moor's issue is likely to hold him out for longer than just this weekend, and his absence will be a big blow to the TFC back line. Jason Hernandez could get more playing time in Moor's absence.
Brek Shea    M/D    Vancouver Whitecaps FC
Shea (knee) will miss up to 12 weeks due to the knee injury suffered in Wednesday's Champions League match.

Fantasy Analysis

Shea has only appeared in two league matches this season and doesn't have many positives for the Whitecaps so this injury won't change too many things for the team going forward, outside of taking away depth.
Erik Hurtado    F    Vancouver Whitecaps FC
Hurtado will miss Saturday's match against Real Salt Lake due to a foot contusion.

Fantasy Analysis

Hurtado has appeared in the first four matches this season and has one goal and one assist, both accrued in the same match.
David Horst    D    Real Salt Lake
Horst will miss six-to-eight weeks after having successful surgery on his knee this week, the Salt Lake Tribune reports.

Fantasy Analysis

This is yet another blow to the Real Salt Lake defense dealing with multiple injuries. Guys like Chris Wingert and Justin Schmidt have stepped up in place of Horst with others like Tony Beltran getting closer to health.
Tony Beltran    D    Real Salt Lake
Beltran (back) returned to full training this week and is questionable for Saturday's match against Vancouver, the Salt Lake Tribune reports.

Fantasy Analysis

Beltran has missed the last two matches and if he's ready to go, could fit right into the starting XI given the other injuries along RSL's back line.
Diego Rubio    F    Sporting Kansas City
Rubio (knee) is ahead of schedule and is possible to make a return during the summer, according toSam McDowell of the Kansas City Star.

Fantasy Analysis

Rubio suffered the injury last October, and is ahead of schedule for his return. Even if he does return early he is stuck behind Dom Dwyer at the forward position, which limits his playing time.
John McCarthy    G    Philadelphia Union
McCarthy will not be available for Saturday's match against Portland after suffering a setback in his recovery from a concussion, the Delco Times reports.

Fantasy Analysis

McCarthy's absence will allow Jake McGuire to be the backup to Andre Blake this weekend.
Aaron Maund    D    Real Salt Lake
Maund was substituted in the 12th minute of Saturday's match against Minnesota United because of a hamstring injury.

Fantasy Analysis

Maund didn't make it long before coming up lame, ceding his place to Sunny, who took up a fullback position as Chris Wingert moved inside. The severity of the injury will be determined in the coming hours, but between the two aforementioned players and the recovering Tony Beltran (back), the team should be covered next week against Vancouver if Maund is forced to sit out.
Rob Vincent    M    D.C. United
Vincent underwent knee surgery last week and could return in about one month, the Washington Post reports.

Fantasy Analysis

With Marcelo Sarvas fit, Vincent was unlikely to get much playing time anyway, so his absence shouldn't affect many fantasy decisions.
George Malki    D    Houston Dynamo
Malki has been ruled out for the rest of the season because of a torn ACL, the Houston Chronicle reports.

Fantasy Analysis

Malki wasn't likely to get consistent minutes this season, so while his absence hurts the Dynamo's depth, it's unlikely to affect many fantasy decisions.
Agus    D    Houston Dynamo
Agus will miss a few weeks because of a left hamstring injury suffered in training, the Houston Chronicle reports.

Fantasy Analysis

Agus' absence further hurts the Dynamo's defensive depth, with Juan David Cabezas out with a concussion.
Harold Cummings    D    San Jose Earthquakes
Cummings will miss four-to-six months after undergoing successful surgery on a broken fibula.

Fantasy Analysis

Cummings joined San Jose at the beginning of the year, but was only used as a substitute in the early matches. It'll be tough for him to earn time late in the season once he returns.
Joshua Yaro    D    Philadelphia Union
Yaro is ahead of schedule in his recovery from shoulder surgery, and he has begun running as part of his rehab, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Fantasy Analysis

Yaro was initially expected to be out until May, but if he continues improving, he could beat that estimate.
Chad Barrett    F    Real Salt Lake
Barrett tweeted Tuesday that he will require surgery on his knee, which will force him to miss the rest of the season.

Fantasy Analysis

Barrett's injury is obviously a hit to the RSL attacking depth, though with no clear path to regular playing time, his fantasy value isn't overly affected.
