Harrison (Achilles) was released by the Stampeders on Monday.

Harrison's season ended early in 2016 after he tore his Achilles. He finished the year with 22 yards and two touchdown on 52 carries while adding 78 yards receiving on 12 receptions. Roy Finch saw an increased role as backup running back to starter Jerome Messam in Harrison's absence and could see an increased role in 2017.

Harrison (undisclosed) is listed as the backup running back on the depth chart for Saturday's game against the Alouettes.

Harrison spent Week 16 on the one-game injured list, but he will return to action this week. With fellow running back Roy Finch (arm) out this week, Harrison will be the only other running back on the roster besides starter Jerome Messam.

Harrison was placed on the one-game injured list for Saturday's game against the Eskimos with an undisclosed injury.

Harrison will spend a second straight week on the injured list, so Roy Finch will remain the backup running back behind Jerome Messam for another game.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Harrison carried the ball six times for 24 yards in Saturday's win over the Roughriders.

Jerome Messam has been one of the most productive RBs in the league this year, which doesn't leave many touches left over for his backup. Harrison would need an injury to Messam to have any real value, but the Stampeders' offense is explosive enough that he'll have the occasional big game even in a secondary role.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Harrison is listed as the No. 2 running back for Saturday's game against the Roughriders.

In five games played thus far during the 2016 season, Harrison has compiled 80 yards and two touchdowns on 16 games. He'll serve as Jerome Messam's backup out of the backfield Saturday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Harrison is not listed on the depth chart for Thursday's matchup with the Roughriders.

Harrison was moved to the one-game inured for the week. Jerome Messam will continue to start at running back, while Roy Finch will back him up.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Harrison carried the ball five times for 40 yards and a touchdown in Friday's win over the Blue Bombers. He also caught one pass for 10 yards.

He's still decidedly the second fiddle in the Stampeders' backfield behind Jerome Messam, but in a game where Calgary ran for a total of 207 yards and two TDs, Harrison was able to carve out some useful production. Unless something happens to Messam however, Harrison will be a risky play most weeks.
